The Sierre Blues Festival has been awarded the prestigious "Keeping The Blues Alive Award" by the renowned American institution, The Blues Foundation. This recognition is both a wonderful accolade and a tremendous honor for the festival.

The award ceremony took place in Memphis, United States, on Friday, January 27, 2023, during an official ceremony that brought together the most prominent actors and representatives from the world of blues, who came from all over the world for the International Blues Challenge. This event gathered over 200 bands and 200 soloists/duos in competition, illustrating the global scope of this iconic music.

The Blues Foundation, headquartered in Memphis, is the overarching body that unites the blues community. Each year, it bestows the prestigious Keeping The Blues Alive Award upon individuals and organizations that have made, or continue to make, a significant contribution to the world of blues.
