The Sierre Blues Festival receives a prestigious award.
The Blues Foundation, based in Memphis, USA, is the organization that brings together the world of the Blues. Each year, it awards a prestigious prize, the “Keeping The Blues Alive” Award, to people and/or organizations who make or have made a significant contribution to the world of the Blues. These KBAs are awarded by a select panel of Blues professionals to those who are actively working to promote and preserve this music.
The news of the 2023 recipients has just been announced by the Blues Foundation and the Sierre Blues Festival will receive this international distinction on January 27th in Memphis during a special ceremony that will take place during the International Blues Challenge attended by more than 400 bands and solo/duos from around the world.
In order to comply with current norms, the Sierre Blues Festival is adapting and offering a modified 12th edition. From 16 to 18 September, blues bands from the Valais and Switzerland will be playing in several partner establishments in the region.

Zucchero confirms his visit to Sierre in 2022
The Italian singer Zucchero, the headliner of our next edition, has decided, for obvious health reasons, to postpone his D.O.C World Tour in 2022. The Sierre Blues Festival is fortunate to be able to confirm his appearance next year, on Saturday 11 June 2022. Tickets and subscriptions purchased for the 2020 edition will be valid for the 13th edition which will take place from Thursday 9 to Saturday 11 June 2022.
