As a child, she struggled to survive on the streets of Lagos with her teenage mother. Music gave her the strength to overcome poverty. She rose to fame in Africa, winning the "WOMEN IN ENTERTAINMENT AWARD" in London as the "BEST AFRICAN VOICE" in 2009. She then toured Europe and Nigeria for years with various projects, leaving audiences speechless but infinitely happy and euphoric with her powerful voice and energetic performances.
Alongside her amazing band, Justina Lee Brown won the Swiss Blues Challenge in 2019, made it to the semi-finals of the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, USA in 2020, and won second place for Switzerland at the European Blues Challenge in Malmö, Sweden in 2022. She was nominated for the Swiss Blues Awards 2022 and was the opening act for ZUCCHERO at the Sierre Blues Festival the same year. In 2023, she became an ambassador for the Sierre Blues Festival.
